Summer Associate Program

Leatherwood’s Recruiting Committee is dedicated to hiring summer associates with strong academic records and a high level of personal achievement. We recruit annually through arrangements with numerous law schools throughout the southeastern United States, including University of South Carolina, University of Virginia, University of Georgia, Washington & Lee University, William & Mary, Emory University, University of Richmond, Wake Forest University, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina. Furthermore, we are fortunate to have a broad geographic range of other law schools represented in the history of our summer associate program, including Tulane University, New York University, Northwestern University, Samford University, University of Michigan, University of Tennessee, University of Kentucky, Vanderbilt University, and Stanford University.

Leatherwood's summer program is designed to expose summer associates to all aspects of the firm's diversified practice. The program is flexible, allowing summer associates to concentrate in areas of expressed interest. The program is also designed to get summer associates out of the library and into depositions, hearings, trials and client meetings where appropriate.
